"Lucille Meyer celebration of life was held today at St John's. The service was done very well and Lucy's son [Tom] provided a heart warming eulogy that encompassed a life from beginning to end. The pleasant memories brought to mind a poem by Linda Ellis, entitled "The Dash." The first 4 verses go like this... - I read of a man who stood to speak At the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on the gravestone From beginning... to the end. -He noted that first came the date of birth And spoke the following date with tears, But he said what mattered most of all Was the dash between those years. -For that dash represents all the time That they spent alive on earth, And now only those who loved them Knows what that little line is worth. -For it matters not, how much we own, The cars.. the house.. the cash. What matters is how we live and love And how we spend our dash....... Remembering always. James Benishek "

"I remember Lucille from when I worked at Pine Meadow, she was a delight every time I saw her. There were a couple times I had the pleasure of going into her apartment (which was as neat as a pin) and I found myself wanting to stay and visit. What a kind person she was - so glad that our paths crossed. Thoughts & prayers are with your family. "

"I am so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed working with Lucy when we worked at the courthouse. She was the most friendly, sweet and kind hearted lady. She was a very good friend of my mother Betty Gardisky. There is peace in knowing your mom lived a very good life and was truly a blessing to those she crossed paths with. "
