Dawn Hickman
September 27, 1967 - January 31, 2025

Dawn Marie Hickman (Kellogg), 57, passed away in the comfort of her home on January 31, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Dawn's family while a memorial fund is to be established.

Dawn was born on September 27, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa. Dawn spent her childhood years growing up in Des Moines and attended Hoover and East High School. Dawn was the epitome of a caring person; she would strike up a conversation with anyone and before you knew it you were chatting like longtime friends. She was so giving, and she was a great example of helping those in need. She was not afraid of anything and always willing to try new things. In her quiet time, she loved curling up with a good book but found herself returning to the Harry Potter series more times than not. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and had the ability to multitask while she was working on her next piece. When she needed to find a bit of fright, she would watch horror movies and the Green Bay Packers football game, both would get her blood racing.

Family was important to Dawn, getting the opportunity to see her grandchildren and her beloved Aunt Nancy always brought out a smile. Dawn will be missed by countless friends and family.

Left to cherish Dawn's life are her husband Bob Hickman, children: Alicia Rangel, Amber (Jonathan) Gundersen and Ashley Vadillo; sisters Shondra (Jody) McLaughlin, and Gretchen Ellefson; grandchildren: Ernie, Gabe, Tristan, Vylette, Bella, Anabel, Daisy, Amelia and many nieces, nephews & great-nephews.

Dawn was proceeded in death by her parents Paul & Mary Kellogg, grandmother Pearl Kellogg, and grandmother Evelyn Richmond.
