In loving memory of

Buddy McArthur Brown
July 29, 1944 - February 8, 2025

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce that on February 8, 2025, we lost our beloved husband and father, Buddy McArthur Brown, to heart failure, at his home in Seattle, Washington.

Buddy, 80, was born in Glenwood, Arkansas in 1944, to Edna and William Brown. He graduated from Caddo Gap H. S. and Henderson State University.

He was married for 47 years to Deborah Brown. Together they had 3 children: Jeremiah, Ashley, Kimberly and two grandchildren Makenzie and Sawyer, all residing in Seattle.

Buddy taught students in Alaska and Arkansas and coached, with an amazing career lasting 30 years.

He enjoyed sports, especially the Razorbacks, politics, and road trips across the country. Most of all, he loved his family. His world centered around family and his family adored him.

A private service was held for Buddy this week and a celebration of life will be held in Arkansas a year from now.

Reading was such an important part of Buddy's life, the family is asking for books to be donated to the Glenwood Public Library in his name in lieu of flowers.
