John was born on June 28, 1945, in Spokane, Washington, to John "Jack" and Elizabeth Gary. He spent his early years in Spokane, WA. He attended St Aloysius and Gonzaga Prep. He joined the Army Reserve before settling in Seattle, WA. In Seattle he met his wife, Carol. He had a lifelong career with Tally Corporation. His dedication and hard work were evident throughout his professional life. He was also a devoted member of the Catholic Church and spent many years worshiping at Our Lady of the Lake.
John had a kind heart and a great sense of humor that endeared him to those around him. He found joy in reading, playing tennis, running and travel. Despite facing a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, he remained resilient and continued to bring warmth and laughter to those who knew him.
He is survived by his former spouse, Carol; his three children, Carmen (Duane), Christine, and Craig; and his grandchildren, Anna, Claire, Madie, and Ella. He also leaves behind his sisters, Mary (John) and Margie. John was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, David and Mike.
John's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His service will be at our Lady of the Lake Church, Seattle Washington on March 7 at 11 AM.May he rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
