Connie Lee Peterka
September 6, 1951 - March 7, 2025

Connie Peterka, of Antigo, died unexpectedly on March 7, 2025 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was 73 years old. She was born on September 6, 1951, a daughter of Paulus and Dorothy (Ross) Hoppenworth. She married Ronald Peterka on June 4, 1988 at St. John Lutheran Church in the town of Wien.

Connie was a registered nurse working at Marshfield Hospital, then coming to Antigo after marriage and working at Antigo Hospital. She later worked in home health care. Following her health care profession, she was a substitute teacher for the Antigo School District.

She was a wonderful loving and devoted mother and wife. Connie's favorite pastimes were watching the "Voice" and attending church services. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church where she was on the Altar Guild and quilting group. She enjoyed spending time with family including the family dog, Chloe. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking.

Survivors include her husband, Ron; two daughters, Melanie Peterka of Weston and Kasandra Peterka of Antigo; three sisters, Peggy Koehmstedt of Rothschild, Trudy (Mark) Lindsley of DePere and Lori Burish of Wausau; three brothers, Larry (Jean) Hoppenworth of Stratford, LaRon (Debi) Hoppenworth of Edgar, and Jay (Chris) Hoppenworth of Edgar; a sister-in-law, Helen Wolf of Antigo; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dianne Johnston; and brother-in-law, Randall Wolf.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 17 at 12 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Jennifer Sosinski officiating.
Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
