In loving memory of

Kirk Elmer Resler
May 26, 1951 - February 28, 2025

Kirk Elmer Resler passed on February 28th, 2025 at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer. He passed peacefully in the early morning with family by his side in Kirkland, Washington.

Kirk was born in Fargo, North Dakota on May 26th, 1951 to Francis and Donna Resler. He was 1 of 8 children, growing up alongside Gary, Mark, Dawn, David, Lee, Dick and Suzanne. In the 1960's Donna and Francis packed up their children and their house (literally, the whole house) and moved from Juanita to Seattle to take advantage of the growing city. Kirk would fondly reminisce about the summers he would return to North Dakota to work on the family farm. He enjoyed the city life as well and was admittedly a bit of a troublemaker in his youth (I mean, it was the 70's after all).

He is survived by the love of his life and partner of 25 years, Marcia Weeks-Resler, whom he met while working at Mclendons. They enjoyed many vacations to Hawaii which was truly their happy place. Kirk was the proud father of three daughters, Kelly, Katie and Carmen. Within his children he instilled a love of Rock and Roll and a passion for plants and animals. He recently welcomed his first grandchild, Willa, who was the source of many smiles in his final months.

Kirk was a very kind and gentle soul. A man of few words, he was quick to help anyone in need. For 26 years he was a jack of all trades at Mclendon Hardware. He was known for his vast knowledge of all things home improvement and would happily to pass along that knowledge to any one seeking. After retirement Kirk enjoyed his quiet, homebody lifestyle in Woodinville, Washington with Marcia. He spent much of his time on his many hobbies which included guitar making, brewing beer and making wine with his siblings. He also enjoyed creating gifts for his family and pals on his CNC machine, perfecting his aquarium and many more. Kirk was a lifelong animal lover. His dogs brought great joy into this life. He loved them and they loved him even more.

Kirk's Celebration of Life will be held on May 10th 2:00 p.m. at Refuge Church 2609 Larch Way Lynnwood, WA 98036.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you plant a new flower in your garden in Kirk's honor.
