In loving memory of

Merline Joan Blakley
April 30, 1956 - May 3, 2025

aka: Mernie, MJB Good to the last drop!: was born on April 30, 1956 to parents, Merrill and Katherine Blakley in Seattle, WA. Merline joined the Angels and many family and friends on May 3, 2025 at Providence hospital in Everett. Her son Casey and Sister KayEllen by her side.

She loves school and had good grades. She was smart and helped her sister with reading and math. Her school days were full of having fun with neighborhood friends. The family had 3 horses and she and her sister took good care of them. She rode with neighborhood friends and built awesome friendships. She loved all kinds of animals and had lots of them.

Merline married her "high school sweetheart" Randy Wagner in 1979 in Reno. Family shared in her happiness, it was a good time. They had a son Casey. They divorced. She raised her son and held a few jobs. She liked her job as a cook, greeter, waiter, and washer in Burien at the Chuck Wagon. Casey as a teenager moved to Bremerton to live with his dad. He graduated, married, had 2 kids, divorced. He remarried, has a lovely wife and 3 kids. Merline was so proud of him and his family.

Later in life, Merline acquired a caregiving license with the intent to take care of her dad at sister Connie's ADF on Camano Island. That transpired and she did a great job. We went on a cruise with Dad, Connie, Jim, Kay, and Julian. Merline enjoyed herself and was treated like a queen, she deserves it! She had lots of fun too!

After Dad's death she moved back to Burien. Stayed at sisters Helen and Kay's homes for short stays. Then in 2015 she rented an apartment from Kay and stayed there for 5 years. We had a lot of fun together living next door to each other. Then bought her own mobile home in Bow Lake Estates in SeaTac. She lived there until she became too ill to care for herself.

She suffered with a stroke, battling brain seizures, uncontrollable infections, lung and kidney disease. In Sept 2024 she stayed at Highline hospital for 10 days, then to Canterbys for 90 days, moved closer to her son to MT View nursing home in Marysville, also stayed 90 days, fought infections all the time. Then to Providence hospital for 2+ weeks where she died peacefully. She got extremely ill and died within 7 months.

She was a fun-loving person, was generous, cared a lot about people and cared for them too. She was compassionate, thoughtful, helpful and caring. Her unique personality will be forever missed.

Rest in Peace Sweet Daughter, Sister Mother, Grand and Greatmother and Friend
