It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jared Alan Pepper on Friday, July 10, 2026.
The celebration of life will be held Friday July 24, 2026 4-6pm at Oriole Shelter Hickory Grove Park 67382 250th Street, Colo, IA 50056.
Jared was born February 21, 1980 in Boone IA to Gerald Pepper and Carol Dieffenbach. He was a beloved son, a devoted father, and a cherished brother. Above all, he loved his family, and his greatest pride was being the father of his three children. They were the light of his life, and his love for them will always be remembered.
Jared worked in construction as a project manager, where he dedicated himself to providing for his family through hard work and determination. He was known for his caring and compassionate heart, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer support to those who needed it.
Like many, Jared faced struggles throughout his life. He wasn't perfect, and he experienced difficult times, but those who truly knew him also knew his kindness, his love for his family, and the goodness that existed within him. He will be remembered not only for the challenges he faced but for the love he gave and the lives he touched.
Jared is preceded by his father Gerald Pepper and survived by his children Connor (Margaret) Clark, Joshua Pepper, Allisan Pepper, his mother Carol Steinberg (Arthur), and his sister Addie Whitehead (Corey).
