Merlin Rohloff

Merlin J. Rohloff, age 75, of Green Bay, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2005 at a local hospital. He was born February 24,1930 in the Town of Hamburg, in Marathon county, to the late Edwin and Florence (Kleinschmidt) Rohloff. Merlin served his country in the United States Army from 1949 to 1951. On August 16, 1958 he married the former Carol Taylor in Wausau. Merlin was a Vocational Barber Instructor at the Department of Corrections in Green Bay, retiring in 1989. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #518. Survivors include his wife: Carol; three children: Roger (Bonnie) Rohloff of Seymour, Steven Rohloff of Kenosha and Cheryl (Jeff) Dunaway of Sydney Australia. He is further survived by 4 grandchildren: Rochelle, Matthew, Aleena and Ethan and 1 sister Beverly (Helmuth) Beilke of Wausau. Merlin was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Thursday, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Drive, where the funeral service will take place at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Scott Malme officiating. Full Military honors to follow. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
