Marie (Mrs. Benjamin) Hock, 80, Suamico, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2005 at her home in the company of her family. She was born on Aug. 11, 1925 to the late Amand and Laura (Monfort) LaCourt. On Aug. 7, 1952, she married Benjamin Hock; he preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1988. Marie owned and operated Hock Upholstery for many years before teaching upholstery classes at NWTI (now NWTC). She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Pulaski, and the VFW Auxiliary in Suamico. She enjoyed sewing quilts for her children and grandchildren and recently donated many quilts to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Survivors include four children and their spouses: James and Evelyn LaCourt, Foster City, MI, Lynn and Steve Tucker, Jean and Douglas Kohlmeyer, and Ben and Tammy Hock, all of Suamico; 12 grandchildren: Jim LaCourt, Jr., Paul (Chris) LaCourt, Jason (Heather) LaCourt, Sarah Benjamin, Summer Lonas, Samara (Nick) Prevost, Kelsie Kohlmeyer, Kaleb Kohlmeyer, Rylie Kohlmeyer, Connor Hock, Joshua Hock and Emma Hock; five great grandchildren: Britney Benjamin, Aryan Brunette, Harley Prevost , Levi LaCourt and Tommy LaCourt; one step great granddaughter: Mellisa Drevs; one sister: Delores Davister, Sugarbush; one sister-in-law: Loretta LaCourt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Aaron LaCourt, and an infant brother. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Lyndahl Funeral Home. Visitation will continue after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Pulaski, where funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. G. Jeffrey Dobratz officiating.
