Ronald G. Podlasik, 66, Green Bay, died Thursday, October 26, 2006, at a local hospital. He was born January 6, 1940 to the late George and Ann (Gadamus) Podlasik in Green Bay. On July 22, 1967, he married Donna Bertagnoli at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Green Bay. Ron was employed by Safeway Cheese and Gold Bond Ice Cream. He loved his most recent work as a groundskeeper at Brown County Golf Course. He was a huge sports fan, willing to talk to anyone about the Packers, Badgers and Notre Dame football. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially, the light of his life, his grandson, Nathan.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; one son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Julie Podlasik, Chicago; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Eric Van Brocklin, Shakopee, Minnesota; one grandson, Nathan Van Brocklin; special cousins, Rosemary (Clayton) Langenberg, Green Bay and Dorothy Neville, Grafton; three brothers-in-law, Ronald Bertagnoli, Plymouth, Minnesota; Jay Bertagnoli, Hong Kong; and Jeff (Ann) Bertagnoli, De Pere; his best friend, Ray (Judy) Mooren, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Donna's parents, Russell and Doris Bertagnoli.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, October 29, at Lyndahl Funeral Home where a parish wake service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue after 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 30, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. John J. Becker officiating.
