Margaret Sandifer

Margaret L. Sandifer, 67, Green Bay, went to her heavenly home on Friday morning, July 6, 2007, surrounded by her family. She was born December 2, 1939, to the late Almond and Delia (Cornelius) Mathison in Shawano, Wisconsin. On April 28, 1990, she married Jimmie L. Sandifer at Calvary Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Margaret was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Stonecroft Ministries and various art clubs in Green Bay and Shawano. She was a devout Christian and passionate artist inspired by her faith, her family and nature.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Jimmie; three daughters, Sheri (Jim) McNabb, East Troy; Julie (Todd) Grenier, Sussex; and Christine (Bryan) Cody, Muskego; three stepchildren, Anita Tadisch, Athelstane; Kelly (Sara) Sandifer, Coppers Cove, Texas; and Leslie Sandifer, Green Bay; twelve grandchildren, Katherine and Michael McNabb; Jake and Nicholas Grenier; Joseph, Adam and Michael Tadisch; Katherine and Jennifer Sandifer; and Tyler, Connor and McKenzie Sandifer; one brother, Roger (Lorna) Mathison, New London; one sister, Eileen (Cliff) Elertson, Shawano; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law and best friend, Nancy Mathison; a nephew, Danny Elertson; and a step son-in-law, Mike Tadisch.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, July 9, at Lyndahl Funeral Home. Visitation will continue after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1301 South Ridge Road, where the funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. with the Revs. Earl Vorpagel III and Gail Sowell officiating. Interment in Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Waukechon.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family would like to express their special thanks to the staffs of Green Bay Oncology, St. Vincent and St. Mary's Hospital and Unity Hospice for their care and compassion.
