Elsie Mullen

Elsie M. Mullen, 81, Ashwaubenon, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at a local hospital. She was born February 14, 1927, to the late Ernest and Estella (Berendsen) Davis in Mountain, Wisconsin. She was a 1945 graduate of Lena High School. Elsie was employed by the Wisconsin Telephone Co. for 20 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. On September 10, 1949, she married Kenneth Mullen. She was also a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Elsie enjoyed playing cards, photography and her computer, from which she kept in touch with friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; her children, Dennis (Julie) Mullen, Douglas (Victoria) Mullen, Linda Mullen, all of Green Bay; Carol Mullen and Will Hirama, Geneva, Switzerland, Leonard Mullen and Lori Krahn, Menasha, Gail (Wayne) Vann, Green Bay, Diane (Michael) Conway, Kissimmee, FL., Gary (Brenda) Mullen, Green Bay; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther (Harold) Marquardt, Peshtigo; one brother, Samuel (Judy) Davis; "half-sister", Rita Pamperin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.;
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Clifford and Joseph; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ernest Jr. (Irene) Davis and Raymond Davis.;
Friends may call Sunday, January 11, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lyndahl Funeral Home where a wake service will take place at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday after 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida Street, Green Bay, where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Benjamin Sember officiating. Entombment at the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
