Ruth Riggle

Ruth M. Riggle, 85, died Saturday evening, May 9, 2009 at a local nursing home. ;
She was born on April 9, 1924 in Gresham, WI, to the late Edward and Hulda (Kraft) Schmidt. On Sept. 3, 1949, she married Irvin Riggle in Tileda, WI; he preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2000. Ruth was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, particularly with the Priscilla Circle and Mission Sewing. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and time spent at her cottage. She loved time with her children and grandchildren.;
Survivors include four children and their spouses: Gail and Dr. John Keller, Iowa City, IA, Dr. Michael and Connie Riggle, Medford, WI, Mark Riggle and Jill Larson, De Pere, and David Riggle, Hobart; 11 grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua and Emily Keller; Andrew, Kevin (Jenny), and Patrick Riggle; Paris Riggle; and Austin, Tyler, Makenna and Benjamin Riggle; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Gertrude and Arnold Dalke, Gresham, and Edythe and John Smith, Santa Barbara, CA; one sister-in-law: Eleanor Davison, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.;
In addition to parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Maufort and Myrtle Schmidt, and one sister-in-law: Mary Riggle.;
Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Grace Lutheran Church, 321 S. Madison St., where funeral services will take place at 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Lange officiating. Interment in Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.;
