William Kohls

William W. Kohls, 77, of Green Bay and Bonita Springs, FL, died peacefully at home Saturday, May 30, 2009, surrounded by his family. He was born August 22, 1931, to the late William and Ella (Ehrenreich) Kohls. He was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School and Lakeland College. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On June 18, 1955, he married Sharon Zimmermann. Bill had been employed as an executive for Anamax for 23 years, retiring in 1991. He was active in his church, played baseball and softball and was an avid golfer. Sharon and Bill enjoyed retirement by traveling and spending time with family, especially their grandchildren. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife Sharon of 53 years, four children, Rev. Randall Kohls, Kewaunee; Wendy (Paul) Kersten, Woodbury, MN; Debra Kettner (fiancÃÆ'© Don Toellner), DePere; James (Gloria) Kohls, Boynton Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Bryan and Adam Kersten, Cameron, Courtney and Ali Kettner, and Matthew Kohls; two sisters, LaVerne Rehrauer, Beverly (Edwin) Rautmann; one brother, Robert (Mary) Kohls; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may call Tuesday, June 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lyndahl Funeral Home. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 991 Pilgrim Way, where the funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Scott Naevestad officiating.
