Dona Olsen

Dona J. Olsen, 71, Ashwaubenon, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at her home. She was born December 18, 1937 to the late Edward and Beatrice (Nelson) Havlovitz in Green Bay. On October 7, 1956, she married Ronald L. C. Olsen in Oscoda, Michigan. She was a 1955 graduate of Mishicot High School. Dona and Ronald were foster parents of many children from 1962 to 1965. She served as a teacher’s aid in the Hortonville school district from 1974 to 1978.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald; one son, Eric Olsen, Green Bay; one daughter and son-in-law, Darcie and Wayne Procter, Phoenix, Arizona; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Edward and Marilyn Havlovitz, Green Bay and Paulette Havlovitz, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Havlovitz; a nephew, Dennis Havlovitz ; her parents-in-law, Haldor and Minnie Olsen; and two brothers-in-law, Ivan and Ardale Olsen.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at Lyndahl Funeral Home where the funeral service will take place at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Hal Toenjes officiating. Entombment will be at Ft. Howard Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the NEW Zoo.
