Marie A. Hamilton, 93, of Howard, died on Monday, August 02, 2010 at a local nursing home. She was born on February 25, 1917 in Denver, Colorado to the late Alfred and Jennie (Peterson) Ahlstrom. She married John B. Hamilton on August 3, 1940 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1993.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Jane and Jerry Lapinskas of Green Bay and Nancy and Herman Elig of Mt. Oreb, Ohio; four grandchildren: Jon (Jennifer) Lapinskas, Rev. Jennifer (Corey) Christenson, Daniel Elig, and Kenny Elig. Marie is further survived by three great-grandchildren: A.J. and Callan Lapinskas and Marcus Christenson.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends may call after 3 pm. at Calvary Lutheran Church (1301 S. Ridge Rd.) on Thursday, August 5, 2010 until time of funeral services at 4 pm with the Vicar Erik Roth officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Marie’s name.
