In loving memory of

Karen Diedrich
October 18, 2011

Karen (Holzinger) Diedrich (here pictured in the early beginnings of her aspiring youth which she never forsaked) expired Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 14, 1951, her example of what it is to be essentially human will not and could not be forgotten by her family and friends or even enemies. She married Mark Diedrich on May 24, 1973 in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Karen found an outlet for her creativity in everything from the trivial to the profound. Music was the companion for all her endeavors.
Her immediate survivors include her always sunny husband, Mark; her two sons, Mason and Kasey; her mother, Virginia Holzinger; brother, Tom and wife, Margaret and their two sons, Todd and Scott; along with Mason’s special friend, Lexi Monroe. Plus the good fortune of being accepted into Mark’s large LOVING family. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also by a little four pawed friend named Callie who added pleasure to every day.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother-in-law, father-in-law and a brother-in-law.
In accordance with Karen’s wishes, anyone can celebrate the beauty of life in the presence of her final bodily presence after 3 p.m. Friday, February 18, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, where the memorial mass will be held at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Demuth officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for various charities and organizations in Karen’s name.
Thank you to Unity Hospice, Home Instead Senior Care and Karen’s guardian angels for the loving care they gave her. Special thanks to some very dear people in the medical community who comforted and cared for me with a human touch.
