"Dave will always be remembered here in Valdosta. He was such a genuinely caring and friendly guy. And always had a smlie on his face. He was also a hero for serving our country. I am proud to call him a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. I hope that knowing all the lives Dave affected will help you find strength to push through the days ahead. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory that no one can steal."
"My condolences to the family and Air Force Family of SSgt. David Horney. As a mother of a soldier who has deployed x 3, to have a son be on home territory and pass on in such a manner is something I just can not understand. The Angels have you now, Sgt. Rest in peace."
