BETTENDORF, Iowa -- Angela Kent, 35, died on Thursday, December 1, 2011.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at the Heritage Wesleyan Church, 4801 44th Street, Rock Island, Illinois 61201. Memorials can be given to the family.
She spent a year in Croatia working with Wesleyan Missions. She earned a master's degree in counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University and had almost completed her Ph.D. at Western Michigan University.
She is survived by her step-father Jack Morris and wife, Susan, of Budapest, Hungary; her grandmother, Angie Gyngard of Edginton; her father, William Kent of Rock Island, Illinois; step-siblings, Geoff Morris and wife, Wendy, of Brunswick, Georgia, Amber Bruce and husband, Tyler, of Evansville, Indiana, Josuha Liebing of Portland, Oregon, and Joy Rendall and husband, Chris, of Bettendorf; nieces, Danielle and Kaitlin, of Brunswick, Georgia, and Abby, Emma, and Lauren Kinley, of Evansville, Indiana; second moms, Kim Wiseman (Mark Johnson) of Muscatine, and Connie Harmon of Lagro, Indiana; and soul sisters, Rabekah Wiseman Bognar of Rock Island, Illinois, and Ellen Emery, Wilton.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Kent; a brother, Michael Kent; and jer grandfather, Robert Gyngard.
