Norman Dessart, of Antigo, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 81 years old. He was born on December 9, 1930 in Milwaukee a son of Norman and Ann (Masnica) Dessart. He married Kathleen Gaffney on December 29, 1951 in Milwaukee, she survives.
He enjoyed caring for his yard and gardens, and hunting.
In addition to his wife survivors include eight children, Greg (Chris Komppa) Dessart, Harold (Zoe Nelson) Dessart, Crystal (Lenny) Bartz, Charles (Stacy Love) Dessart, Kathleen (Tim) Kieper, Norman J. Dessart, Kelly (Bruce) Massick and David Dessart; 27 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha, WI (four blocks south of I94 on the corner of Hwy J and JJ). Visitation will be Friday from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Church and Chapel Funeral Home.
