"Sid was a good man. In high school, I got into some trouble and Sid personally got involved and helped me out. He gave me confidence in my abilities and before he passed on he said, Amy, you were my Ace..., you were my favorite female athlete and I love you. I asked him if he was in pain and he said no and he was ready to meet the Lord. I told him he was my male role model and everything I would want a father to be and I loved him and he asked me to bend down and he kissed me on the cheek. I will never forget that or him."

"He only takes the best God saw that he was getting tired, A cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered "Come with Me." With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer, And saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, We could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes "the best." Sid you were the best!"
