Elaine Helgeson
December 22, 1929 - January 7, 2012

Elaine Helgeson, of Post Lake, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Langlade Hospital. She was 82 years old. She was born on December 22, 1929 in Milwaukee, a daughter of Carl and Olga (Wildner) Wiedenhoeft. She married Duane Helgeson on June 28, 1948 in Jennings. He survives.

She was a homemaker most of her life having raised her six children in the Post Lake area. Her hobbies included bowling and playing pool having participated on a number of area leagues. She also enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, crocheting, upholstering and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Survivors including her husband are three sons Michael (Katherine) Helgeson, Denmark, Mark (Teresa) Helgeson, Baldwin, Marshall (Susan) Helgeson, Poynette; three daughters Maureen (Gary) Leindecker, Pelican Lake, Mischelle Helgeson, Mosinee, Mary Ellen Severt, Rhinelander; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two sisters Sandra (Ben) Seehafer, Shiocton, Jean (Jim) Walker, Antigo.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Ezra Fraley, a brother Carl Wiedenhoeft II, a sister Iola Abney.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with her brother-in-law Pastor George Olinske officiating. Burial will take place in Elcho Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
