Ralph Schmoll
November 29, 1931 - February 6, 2012

Ralph Schmoll, (Flag Emblem) of Aniwa, died Monday, February 6, 2012. He was 80 years old. He was born on November 29, 1931 in Town of Rolling, a son of the late Arthur and Anna (Holey) Schmoll.

He was raised in the Elmhurst area, and worked at Kraft in Antigo for several years. He served as a military policeman with the United States Army having enlisted on Sept. 16, 1952 and was discharged August 27, 1954. After service Mr. Schmoll worked for Nolan Farms, Duffek Sand and Gravel and Kretz Lumber. For 18 years he drove truck for Remington Oil and retired in 1990. He was a member of the Leland-Tollefson Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #2653, Antigo.

His hobbies were restoring old tractors, fishing and spending time with his long time friend and neighbor Richard Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Balanquit, Dallas, Texas and Susan Rozell, Iron Belt; a son, Glen Schmoll; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two nephews, John (Mary) Schmoll, Aniwa and James (Yvonne) Schmoll, Wausau; niece, Janet (Tom) Zimmerman, Aniwa; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Schmoll, Aniwa; and many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert and Benjamin.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Aniwa Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 - 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Antigo veterans will conduct military rites at the funeral home following the service.
