"John, having moved away earlier in the year, I just now learned of your wife's passing. I know when I left, she was going downhill. Pleased accept my deepest sympathies. In case you don't remember who I am, I used to spend many lunchtimes playing Rook at Joe's repair shop. Great times."

"I can't think of anything to say except cliches...and I'm sure you've heard them all by now. Losing someone you love is never easy...only time softens the pain. The good news is that Carol doesn't hurt any more...and I know she was welcomed into Heaven by all those that went before her. I'm betting my mom (Norene) and her grandma (Stella) have already shown her their favorite spots... "
