In loving memory of

Gary Hess
February 8, 2012

Gary L. Hess, 63, of Green Bay, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Gary was born on March 11, 1948 in Lakewood, WI to John Hess, Senior and Dorothy (Koch) Hess. He was a graduate of Wabeno High School and had a zest for fast cars and fun. He served his country in the US Coast Guard and resided in Green Bay where he worked for 37 years at Tape, Inc. before doors closed in 2005. In his earlier years he loved to shoot Trap, downhill ski and could always be seen in summer riding his motor cycle (beanie hat and all). Midlife, he enjoyed traveling with his friend, Rocky, tours with the "Green Bay Fun Club" and had a passion for scenic photography. The past few years, he could be seen cruising around town with his new toy - a 1967 Candy Apple red Chevy Camaro. Gary enjoyed life, loved to meet new people, socialize and have fun.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori Hess-Rosio and Richard, Suamico, WI; two grandchildren, Jake and Elizabeth Rosio; a sister and brother-in-law, Gail (Hess) Sees and Gary of De Pere; a brother, Jim Hess of Green Bay; nephews Rick Sees (children Sean, Joe and Samantha) of De Pere, and Tim and Niki Sees of Denmark, WI.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy (Koch) Hess, his father John Hess, Sr., and a brother John Hess, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Lyndahl Funeral Home from 4 pm until Military Honors at 7 pm.

A memorial fund has been established in Gary's name.

"Lori, I am very sorry to hear about Gary's passing. As a kid, I remember thinking he was a very cool brother in law. It was always exciting to be able to get a ride in his hot Camaro. He also taught me to shoot pool and I always looked forward to going to your house in Suamico because he always took the time to shoot a few games with me. He was such a nice guy."

"I am so sad to hear of Garys' passing... Though I have not seen him in years, we were friends. Our Dads were best friends so we as families spent time together in the summer months. His hometown was my second home as we had a cabin out of Lakewood. Gary was so easy to talk with and I remember he always had a kind word... no matter what. A very kind spirit.... I just wish that I was dreaming this as Gary was just too young to leave.. To Jim and Gail... Please know how sorry I am and God Bless you and Garys' family... I believe that he had a daughter and my sympathies go out to her as well...to everyone feeling his loss. So long for now Gary.. Later... Sandra Buxton Paessler"

"We are with all of you as you mourn the loss of Gary. I remember all the days of being up at the Hess home in Lakewood. Dorothy was always there to sit and visit with us. Gail and I would spend days reading books together. All of us would play "kick the can" at night. Remember the summer nights when John would show the home movies on the sheet on the clothes line? The Lord be with you all. I wish I could be there with you."
