In loving memory of

Nunzio J. Battista
November 25, 1930 - February 25, 2012

Nunzio was a son, brother, husband, father grandfather, and great grandfather.

Most people know my dad as Sonny. He was a very proud man. So many of you may not know that he was battling pancreatic cancer. This was a man that up until this time in his life was never sick, Dad never even took an asprin when he got a headache. He had pancreatic surgery and was doing well. He got sick a few weeks ago and the cancer took over, my dad fought this fight really hard but the cancer finally won!!

My father had a really full life. He was in 3 branches of the service... he was really proud that he could be a part of protecting what he loved the United States of America. He raised and provided for his family. Dad held a job in the city of N.Y for over 30 years while also working a second job.

He later moved our family to Florida where he had a house built for us and the family still lives in it. He did get a job with a cable company and worked at that job till the day he died.

My father being as proud as he was never really talked about the things he accomplished in this life and things he did for others. So I felt this was just a small look into his life and accomplishments. He is now with the love of his life our mother and they are both angels in Heaven without pain.

Cherish all the moments you have because they soon will become MEMORIES.

"Sonny, God looked down, and thought those folks there on earth need a ??special Angel? and God sent you. To watch over you?To love and protect?Everything that you do And now that you??ve mastered the tasks He has given you You have proved that you are a good father, grandfather, the best friend any one could want, underneath that rough exterior you have shared the love you have for God and that you have a strong desire to do good and - you did good in a special way that only you, Sonny could. His plan here on earth for you is now completed the Lord sent for you The Lord??s called his angel ,,, To bring you new birth On the wings of your angel? You flew to the light Where the Lord waited to welcome you into his sight Your eyes are now open.. Bathed in radiant beams The Lord has shone on you.. No, ??tis not in dreams Your angel has lead where He wants you to be Up there in His presence For eternity"
