In loving memory of

Kenneth Ord
May 8, 2007

Kenneth Lee Ord, one of two children of Jerry Lee Ord and Lucille Ann (McMullen) Ord, was born at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa on June 2, 1961. Kenneth grew up in Silver City where he attended school through the sixth grade. He attended middle school and high school in Glenwood. On Kenneth's sixteenth birthday he began working at the Glenwood State Hospital School as part of the districts work study program. Kenneth graduated from the Glenwood Community High School in 1979. He then began working fulltime at the hospital school as a Resident Treatment Worker. His schedule also allowed for him to drive a school bus during the afternoon route for the Glenwood School District.
In 1995, arthritic knees forced Kenneth to retire after 26 years at the Resource Center. Kenneth's condition eventually placed him on complete disability. Kenneth loved dogs, especially Sadie who will miss him dearly. Kenneth died at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 8, 2007 at the age of 45 years, 11 months, and 6 days.
He is survived by his parents Jerry and Lucille Ord of Silver City; sister Sharon Alliband and her husband Robert and niece Amanda Alliband all of Rose Hill, KS; numerous aunts and uncles and other relatives; many friends and his loving dog Sadie.
