"Lavonne,
I was so sorry to hear about Carl's death. I always enjoyed seeing him at the Scott reunions. I still get a chuckle every time I look at the pictures from California and see him wearing my hat! I know you will miss him deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

"Ruth Lookabill Scott was Ardith Owen Fichter's cousin. Ardith was Sarah's Mom and Elenor Scott was Ardith's sister. We have called Carl and Ruth over the years but mostly to report "news" from this side of the Family.
I am so sorry to hear of Carl's death. Your parents were kind people and I will always wonder why we did not call on them more often. Only good thoughts as we all pass through this life. Love, Rod Carter, 1305 325th AV, Randolph, Iowa, 51649"
