Jeremy Ray Barnes, 32, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday April 24, 2012. He was born on November 5, 1979, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Nile E. and Shawn M. (Sturtz) Barnes. Jeremy graduated from Hampton High School in 1997, after High School he served his country in the United States Air Force. He was married to Michelle Howard. Jeremy worked as a CNC mechanist at GMT in Waverly, Iowa. He enjoyed listening to music and Pheasant hunting with his father and brothers. Jeremy also enjoyed spending time with his two boys and his family. He is survived by his wife Michelle of Hampton, sons Nathanael and Kurt Barnes of Hampton, father Nile Barnes of Hampton, mother Shawn Barnes of Waterloo, brother Matthew and wife Teresa of Ackley, brother Phillip Barnes of Cedar Falls, sister Tammy Barnes of Waterloo, maternal grandfather Wayne Sturtz of Florida. Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparent and his maternal grandmother.
