Florence Koszarek
November 21, 1922 - August 21, 2012

Florence Koszarek, of Antigo, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Rosalia Gardens under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 89 years old. She was born on November 21, 1922 in Antigo a daughter of Walter and Victoria (Kedzora) Prasalowicz. She married Edward Koszarek on August 21, 1948 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo. He survives.

She attended Eau Claire grade school in Ackley and was a graduate of Antigo High School.
After graduation she moved to Milwaukee and worked at Allen Bradley for eight years. She returned to Antigo and was employed at Frost Veneer and then at Sheldon's were she packed fishing lures for 16 years retiring in 1986.

Mrs. Koszarek was a member of SS. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.

She enjoyed volunteering at church and at St. Hyacinth's grade school. She also enjoyed reading, fishing, flower gardening and cooking.

In addition to her husband survivors include a son, Gary L. (Theresa) Koszarek, LaCrosse; two grandchildren, Jeffrey (fiancé Erin Becker) Koszarek, Madison and Julie (John) Woloszyn, Greenfield; and two sisters, Evelyn Reif, Antigo and Alice Cheslak, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Wojcik, Lillian Ball, Helen Fronek and Anna Prasalowicz; brothers, Bernard, John, Edwin, Walter Jr., Emil, Marcellus and Martin.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Omer Kelley officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Queen of Peace Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday from 1 - 2 pm at the funeral home.
