"It is always tough when someone you know passes away. It is especially tough when it is someone you have known all your life. I don't know what year Uncle Joe and Auntie Ruth bought the house on Fulton street but I do remember the occassion because Joe and Dad were almost trapped when a gas leak in the basement caught fire. We went past that house every day we went to St. John's school, played in their yard, spent Christmases and had birthday parties there. The last couple years Auntie Ruth has been mailing her family photo albums to me so I could digitize the old photographs. Looking at those old pictures have brought back so many memories, I'll always be grateful for her sharing them with me. Auntie Ruth and Uncle Joe were as much a part of my life as my own Mom and Dad and I will miss her as much as I miss Dad."

"Auntie Ruth was a "lady" who loved to be around people and laughed often. She used to call me every couple of weeks to see how I was doing or I would call her to chat and catch-up. I will miss her dedication to people. She was devoted to her husband and family and her love showed itself. The warmth she added to this world will be greatly missed by so many besides me."
