Barbara "Bobbi" Wendt
MUSCATINE, Iowa--Barbara "Bobbi" Kay Wendt, 54, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until 2 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Bobbi's name.
Bobbie was born on February 3, 1958, in Burlington, the daughter of Willis and Deloris Holmberg Cline. On May 11, 1996, Bobbi was united in marriage to Raymond Wendt in Muscatine.
Bobbi had been employed at All-Steel for several years and was also an artist. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, painting, doing crafts and making potpourri and candles. She also enjoyed horseback riding, playing solitaire and rummy and going to the casinos. Bobbi attended the Adventure Christian Community Church in Muscatine.
Bobbi will be deeply missed by her husband, Ray Wendt of Muscatine; children, Dani Boysen and husband, David, of Morning Sun, Jim Allen and wife, Natalie, of Muscatine, Zac Criss and wife, Erin, of Muscatine, Marde Criss and Andrew Johnson of Letts, Sam Wendt of New Boston, Nikole Carver and husband, Roy, of Ft. Meyers, Florida, and Travis Wendt and wife, Janelle, of Rochester, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Judy Johnson and husband, Kenny, of Danville, Bill Cline and wife, Bonnie, of DeWitt and Jackie Whitaker and husband, Craig, of Oakville.
Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Quentyn R.J. Allen.
