Tanner Henry Wettstein, 2 years old, of Sperry, Iowa, passed away at 9:31 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City from a brief illness. Born June 14, 2010, Tanner is the son of Henry J. and Wendy Schulz Wettstein.
He is survived by his mother: Wendy; paternal grandparents: Dennis and Emily Wettstein of Carlock, Illinois; maternal grandparents: Roger and June Schulz of Burlington; paternal uncles and aunts: Reuben Wettstein, Amber (Daniel) Maibach , Joel Wettstein, Dale Wettstein, Carmen Wettstein, Kara Wettstein, Breanna Wettstein, & Stuart Wettstein; maternal aunts and uncle: Bethany (Brent) Frank, Mitchel (Renee) Schulz, Betsy (Steve) Endress, Janae (Jeremy) Stickling, Marie Schulz, Brianna Schulz, Amy Schulz, & Kendra Schulz; paternal great grandmother: Donna Wettstein, of Eureka, Illinois; maternal great grandparents: Myron and Dorothy Schulz, of Burlington, and Phil and Donna Mogler of Rock Rapids, Iowa.
He was received in death by his father, Henry; paternal great grandparents; and maternal great grandmother.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Oakville Apostolic Christian Fellowship Center, at 5460 Huron Road, Oakville, Iowa.
The Funeral Service for Tanner will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Oakville Apostolic Christian Church at 25865 Hwy 99, Oakville, Iowa, with the ministers of the church officiating. Interment will be in the Oakville Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Tanner's memory.
