Mr. Norman Charles Walker, Sr., was born on July 7, 1966, in Chambers County, Alabama, to Mrs. Mary Helen Benton Walker and Mr. George Henry Walker. On Monday, June 2, 2009, this loving and caring voice was silenced as he entered into eternal rest.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
He possessed a radiant personality that reflected love, cheerfulness, kindness, and hospitality. He was truly an inspiration to his family and to his many friends.
Mr. Walker attended Valley High School in Valley, Alabama. He was employed by West Point Utilization.
He was preceded in death by a son, Norman Charles Walker, Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Mae Aggie Walker Trammell; and a brother, Mr. Jessie James Walker.
A legacy of love is entrusted to the following survivors: loving and devoted parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Henry (Mary Helen) Walker, Lanett, AL; a dedicated companion, Ms. Kim Jackson, Lanett, AL; one son, Orlando Walker, Smiths Station, AL; one daughter, Shambreshia Jackson, Lanett, AL; four children he reared as his very own, Jason Jackson, LaGrange, GA;
Caprice (Cornelos) Jackson, Valley, AL; Marcus Jackson and Jerome Jackson, Lanett, AL; five grandchildren;four loving sisters, Mrs. Georgie Mae Barker, Lanett, AL; Mrs. Jenelle Walker Oliver, Atlanta, GA; Mrs. Bobbie (Anthony) Carter, Valley, AL; and Mrs. Mary Ann (Henry) Bailey, Lanett, AL; eight brothers he loved dearly, Mr. Homer Walker, Auburn, AL; Mr. George Jerome (Blonnie) Walker, Atlanta, GA; Mr. Griggs (Minnie) Walker, Mr. Michael (Carolyn) Meadows, Mr. Morris (Gloria) Walker, Mr. Norris (Netta) Walker, Mr. Willie Gene (Shirley) Barnes, all of Lanett, AL; and Mr. Jimmy James Walker, Clearwater, FL; three aunts, Mrs. Cora Lee Walker, and Mrs. Laveron (Willie) Ferrell all of Lanett, AL; three uncles, Mr. Tommy Lee Benton, Mr. Homer Benton, and Mr. George Benton all of Lanett, AL; two great aunts, Mrs. Minnie K.
