Olga Getts
September 30, 1917 - December 22, 2012

Olga Getts, of Deerbrook, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Care Partners in Antigo. She was 95 years old. She was born on September 30, 1917 in Rockford, IL a daughter of Stanley and Elizabeth (Macis) Mattis. She married Joseph Getts on October 15, 1938 in Rockford, IL. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2009.

She was a graduate of Rockford High School with the class of 1936.

She worked as a factory inspector at an airplane manufacturing company in Rockford. In 1946 she moved to the town of Peck where she and her husband operated a dairy farm. Mrs. Getts worked for Antigo Transfer and Moving for 20 years as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of the Freibel Homemakers Club, the Peck Farmers Union and was secretary of the Langlade County Democratic Party.

She enjoyed crocheting and having cats for pets.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Omer Kelley officiating. Burial will take place in the Town of Peck Cemetery in spring.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
