"Just ran across this. "Mr. Bradshaw" was my Industrial Arts teacher at Kennedy back around 1970. I remember him well as a caring, friendly and helpful person. His inspiration helped me achieve a rewarding career as an electrical engineer. Thank you, Mr, Bradshaw, you did a fine job."

Bethany Connon wrote on Jan 15, 2014:

"Grandpa, it's been one year and I miss you now more than ever. But I praise God that he took you when he did, because if you were still here today, you would be very frustrated about not being able to do anything, and I'm glad you're not. I am thankful for the 12 years, 7 months, and 3 days that were spent in this world together. I love you, Grandpa and I'll never stop."

Gil Gilad wrote on May 25, 2013:

"Always smiling and caring, wants to know how to help, sharing- Larry was my teacher for life in ISU back in 1978-1980. Working with kids or teaching others, I had Larry Bradshaw teachings to guide me. I thank all the Bradshaw family for their hospitality. My deepest sympathy for your loss. "

Frederick Vrba wrote on Feb 14, 2013:

"Dear Bradshaw Family: I learned today of Mr Bradshaw's passing. I am truly saddened and please accept my sympathy. You won't recognize my name, but I was a student of Mr Bradshaw way back in 1966-67 at CR Washington. He was one of those teachers that I have always remembered and so he is "Mr Bradshaw" to me. After high school I went on to get a PhD in astrophysics and have had a very successful career as a scientist. The engineers I work with treat me with extra respect, because I can build and repair instrumentation as well as they can. I owe it all to Mr Bradshaw. He really taught us the beauty of working with materials and creating things. It's amazing that I can still remember his voice and to me he has always been that 29 year old teacher, until I just now have seen his later pictures. What's kind of funny is that just yesterday I was telling a story about Mr Bradshaw to our chief engineer. I guess he made quite an impression on me. Again, my deepest sympathy for your loss."

"This is part 2. Read Part 1 below. As popular as Dr. Bradshaw was with grad students, he was probably even more popular with undergrad students. Many people across the world will be saddened to learn of his passing. The family has lost a wonderful man. I hope the grandchildren and future generations will aspire to be as good or even better then Dr. Bradshaw. I know I aspired to as good a teacher as Dr. Bradshaw, or Dr. McKay, or Dr. Paige, but I never was close. We will miss you Dr. Bradshaw. Our sympathy to his family"

Loren Faeth wrote on Jan 18, 2013:

"Since I received the sad news last night, I have pondered what should be said about Dr. Bradshaw. As an Undergrad in the 70s before he came to ISU, I was impressed with the intellect of Dr. Miller. Returning to grad school in 1993, There was a wonderful faculty there, including Dr. Miller and Dr. Bradshaw. Dr. Bradshaw and Dr. Paige were on most graduate committees indicating how popular both were with Graduate students. As I learned mot about Dr. Bradshaw's family today, it occurred to me that Doctors Miller and Bradshaw may both be the most brilliant intellects I have encountered. MIller in mathematics and statistics, and Dr. Bradshaw in linguistics, Bible studies, Industrial Technology and depth and breadth of knowledge that marks a true Industrial Technologist. Probably not too many people would classify Dr. Bradshaw as a brilliant intellect because he was so kind and humble few people got to see all the brilliant facets, myself included. "
