Neoma Eletta Carlson
March 12, 1919 - February 8, 2013

Neoma Eletta Carlson age 93, formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 8, at Riverside Manor in Ames.
Neoma was born March 12, 1919 in Fort Dodge and was raised and lived in Fort Dodge. She married Arthur Carlson April 9, 1938 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The couple lived in the Ft. Dodge area until the late 70's when they moved to Ames, they returned to Ft. Dodge in the mid 80's until Neoma and Art moved to Ames in 2000 to be closer to their daughters Lana and Jane. She was the daughter of Margaret and Charles Stevens and the last surviving sibling of her 11 siblings.
She is survived by her son Michael (Judy) Carlson of Camdenton, MO, daughters, Lana Greve of Ames, Linda (Mike) Pidanek of Phoenix, Az; and Jane (Gordie) Meyer of Ames; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Neoma through the years worked at Globe Union, Sun Beam Bakery, Bournes in Ames and Ft, Dodge Tent and Awning during WW II. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, gardening, working in her yard and spending treasured time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Husband Arthur, daughter, JoDee and 11 siblings.
A gathering of friends and family will be 5-7 p.m. Monday Feb 11, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way in Ames with a Graveside service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Ft. Dodge Memorial Park on highway 20 in Fort Dodge.
