Lawrence "Butch" Hetrick
January 10, 1953 - April 24, 2006
Lawrence L. "Butch" Hetrick was born January 10, 1953, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the son of Lawrence H. and Helen (Krienert) Hetrick. Butch graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1971 and Iowa Lakes Community College in 1973. On June 22, 1974, Butch was united in marriage to Angie Naig at St. John's Lutheran Church, Depew. Butch and Angie made their home on a farm Northeast of Emmetsburg.
Butch farmed and worked in construction until the time of his illness. He enjoyed carpentry, hunting, fishing and most of all, his family and friends. On Monday, April 24, 2006, Butch passed away at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angie; daughter, Alicia Day and her husband, Dedric of Indianapolis, IN; parents, Lawrence and Helen Hetrick of Spencer; two sisters, Audrey Blien and husband, Jack of Ceylon, MN and Mary Marine (niece, Mariah) of Iowa City, IA; mother and father-in-law, Dawn and Obed Naig of Emmetsburg; brother-in-law, Bert Naig (Julie) and Amy, Ally and Karen of Cylinder; sister-in-law, Marit (Dr. Frank Veltri) Julia, Joe, Carlo and Christa of Emmetsburg.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Kevin Blien.
