Glenn C. Gearhart was born August 14, 1961 in Algona, Iowa, the son of Robert and Irene (Christensen) Gearhart. He was a graduate of West Bend High School. Following his education, Glenn worked at West Bend Ford, he also worked in construction, and in 1988, he started with Kossuth County Secondary Road Department where he has worked the past 24 years.
On January 19, 1990, Glenn was united in marriage to Mary Forsythe at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in West Bend. The couple made their home in West Bend where they raised their two children.
Glenn attended the United Methodist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Glenn loved to spend time working on projects in his shop, golfing, riding his bike and both watching and playing football.
On Wednesday, November 21, 2012, Glenn passed away at his home.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary of West Bend; daughter, Nicole of Indianola; three brothers: Grant (Phylis) of West Bend, Robert of Austin, TX, and Chris (Trish) of Evergreen, Colorado; two sisters: Bobbie Bauer of Swea City, Iowa and Mary Harris (Tom) of Des Moines; father-in-law, George Forsythe of West Bend and mother-in-law, Barbara Forsythe of Queen Creek, Arizona and their 12 children; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved son, Christopher; and an infant brother, Robert Allen Gearhart.
