Ryan Matthew Maly
August 13, 1990 - February 16, 2013

Ryan Matthew Maly, of Bryant, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 as a result of a snowmobile accident. He was 22 years old. He was born on August 13, 1990 in Antigo, a son of Kim (Day) Maly of Rhinelander and Ron Maly of Bryant.

He attended Spring Valley Grade School and was a 2009 graduate of Antigo High School. He enjoyed sports, having lettered in both football and baseball for the Red Robins. His efforts while playing defense his senior year of football were noted as he received honorable mention to the Great Northern Conference all conference team.

He worked on the family dairy farm from the age of 10. For two years he was employed at Krueger & Steinfest, Inc in Antigo and in July of 2012 he returned to working on the family farm.

He was a member of the Bryant Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club.

He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Kim Maly, Rhinelander; father Ron Maly, significant other Carolyn McGrath, Bryant; two brothers Jeff, Minneapolis and Jacob, Bryant; paternal grandmother, Esther Maly, Waunakee; maternal grandmother, Candy Day, Antigo; maternal grandfather, Dewey Alsteen, Rhinelander; God-mother, Pearl Maly and God-father, Kenneth Alsteen. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Roman Maly.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Chruch, Neva with Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Burial will take place in Neva Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 - 10 a.m. on Thursday all at the Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held on Wedneday at 4:30 p.m.
