e. Betty was a longtime, dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Windom where she sang in the church choir, took part in Bible Studies, and a member of the Ladies Circle. She also helped with directing the Preschool Sunday School at the American Lutheran Church in Windom and was a member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War. Betty also had many enjoyments in life which included golfing, being a Cub Scout den leader, and spending time with friends and family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Bette recently fell and was taken to Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota where she passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009, at the age of 86. Bette is survived by her three sons, Jeff Witt of Olney, Maryland and his two children, Joshua and Emily Witt; Steve Witt and his wife, Kathy Bye, of Minnetonka and their four children, Charlie Fast, Rachel, Mariah, and Jared Witt; Carter Witt and his wife, Nancy, of Eaton, OH and their four children, Jesse, Hannah, Levi, and Grace Witt; and several other nieces, nephews, and friends. Bette is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Witt; two brothers, Edwin E.
