In 1961, she joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the Rev. C.R. Sheridan. As a loyal member, she served as a missionary teacher, a member of the choir, and a bulletin board designer from 1991 to 2005. She also served as chairperson for the Deacons wives Circle and a VBS teacher. She attended both Sunday School and regular church services where she often gave thought-provoking meditations.
