Roderick Grady was born on September 27, 1971 in Valley, AL to the late Mr. Robert and Mrs. Loraine Griggs Grady. Roderick was educated in the Lanett City School System. He graduated from Lanett High School in 1989. He furthered his education by receiving an Associate degree in Sociology from Southern Union Community College in 1995 and he received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Auburn University in 1999. Roderick confessed his faith and joined the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in 1978 under the pastorage of Rev. Arvell McClendon, Jr. Boot was a faithful and dedicated member at New Hope, where he was a member of the Gospel Choir, Sunday School Secretary and Crusaders. He was employed by World Financial Group as a Background Analyst in Duluth, GA until he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2001. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Loraine Grady; two siblings, Michael and Deborah.
