He could be found cheering at local high school games and watching sports on TV. His favorite sports to watch were little league baseball and basketball at any level. His love of sports is what lead him to be a coach for the Henderson Little League from 1961 to 1971. At the age of 60, he played in the mixed softball league. Harvey married Doris Ranck in 1952 in Treynor, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with two sons: Donald Ancil Bolton and James Allan Bolton. Harvey married Mary M. "Bette" (Johnson) Sowers in 1954 in Nodaway, Missouri. Harvey's family grew to include Bette's four young children. The couple later divorced. Harvey made a home with June (Jordan) Strong for many years and was married to her in Carson, Iowa. They were married until her death in 1988. June's four children added to the family. June was "grandma" to Harvey's grandchildren. Harvey married Lilly (Swanson) Long in Carson, Iowa, in 1990 and they were married nearly 14 years when Lilly passed away in 2003. Harvey was preceded in death by his wives June and Lilly, his parents, and his brother Irvin Bolton. Harvey is survived by his sons: Don Bolton of Council Bluffs and Jim Bolton and his wife Danelle of Akron, Iowa. He's also survived by his granddaughters: Dacia Bolton Bates and her husband Kevin of Merrill, Iowa, and Carissa Lewis and her husband Matt of Huxley, Iowa. Also left to mourn Harvey are his great-grandchildren: Kirsten, Draeden, and Kahra Lewis of Huxley, eight step-children, many step-grandchildren, sister-in-law Connie Bolton, and many nieces and nephews. Harvey attained the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 27 days. Memorials are directed to the family. Military honors and interment at the Carson Cemetery.
