f Madison, Father Kalscheuer faithfully served as area Vocation Director for Sauk County; Moderator of the Catholic Junior League, and Dean of the Iowa County Deanery. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Father was known for his electronics tinkering and guitar playing. He took joy in arranging dances, waterskiing days and Great America trips at the various parishes he served. He also will be greatly remembered for providing refuge for those in need. Survivors include his sister Mary Ann (Harold) Schwartz of Waunakee, sisters-in-law Louise Kalscheuer of Ashton and Tressa Meier of Cross Plains and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Viola(Gilbert) Meffert and two brothers Stanley "Skip" Kalscheuer and Wilfred "Fritz" Kalscheuer. The family would like to thank the staff at St Mary's Hospital (5th floor) as well as Agrace Hospice Care for the care provided to Father Kalscheuer. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church, 7121 County Trunk K, Ashton, on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Most Reverend Robert C. Morlino, Bishop of Madison, will be the principal celebrant with Reverend Monsignor James Gunn as homilist. Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 209 South Street, Waunakee, Friday, March 22nd from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday, March 23rd from 9:30 a.m. until Holy Mass at St. Peter Church. A luncheon in the St. Peter School cafeteria will follow Mass. Immediately after Mass will be interment at St. Peter Cemetery, with Reverend Brian Dulli presiding. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
