David Harold Timm MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa--David H. Timm, 73, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Iowa Veterans' Home (IVH). A farewell service was held at IVH. David donated his body to the University of Iowa and will be cremated at a later date. Memorials may be made to IVH Library or IVH Hospice at 1301 Summit, Marshalltown, IA 50158 David was born June 2, 1939, in Muscatine to Harold and Helen Pallas Timm. He received a B.A. from Iowa State University, an M.S. from University of California at Davis and PhD in International Agriculture from the University of Florida at Gainesville. He served the U.S. Army in Germany during the 1960's and worked in South America and became fluent in Spanish. David was greatly respected, beloved and will be missed by staff and residents of IVH and especially by his family.
