Kenneth Williams, 80, died April 20, 2013 at Lucas County Health Center. Kenneth was born in Tuthill, South Dakota on November 25, 1932 to Telford and Mary (Everheart) Williams. Kenneth was a long time farmer in Washington Township in Wayne County. He was a loyal John Deere owner who loved the land and raising his Hereford Cattle. Kenneth was united in marriage on November 26, 1955 to Alyce Teater at the Derby Methodist Church. The two enjoyed 43 years of marriage until her passing on July 4, 1999. After leaving the farm, Kenneth and Alyce moved to Cheyene Wells Colorado where he worked for an Implement dealer until his retirement. After retirement, the two moved back to Chariton where Kenneth was able to spend quality time fishing with several different friends. Dancing was another favorite activity of Kenneth's. He frequently danced at Woodburn, Humeston, Melcher and Chariton Nursing and Rehab Center. Kenneth especially enjoyed time spent with Betty Brodsack and her family after Alyce's death. ntleman and made friends in many walks of life. Noontime would find Kenneth at the Senior Center eating lunch with many friends. Kenneth is survived by his three children: Missy Vela of Stillwater, Ok, Joe (Cindy) Williams of Humeston, Jon (Teresa) Williams of Corydon; five siblings: Irene Bellon of Knoxville, Roberta Allen of Corydon, Donald Williams of St. Francis, KS, Richard Williams of Chariton, David Williams of Corydon, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Kenneth was preceded by his parents, Telford(1953), Mary (1984), his wife Alyce in 1999 and two infant grandchildren. A Celebration of Mr. Williams life will be Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Pierschbacher Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis St. Lawrence conducting a time of sharing at 7:00 p.m. Private family inurnment will be in Sharon Cemetery beside his wife. Memorials may be given to Lucas County Senior Citizen Center or the American Cancer Society.
