Stephen Mark Wood

Stephen Mark Wood, 39, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home from a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, April 27th, at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Somsen from Trinity Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Stephen is survived by his mother, Margaret Wood; father, Duane Wood; sister, Barbra Wood all of Fort Dodge; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Delores Wood and Linus and Lois Stalzer. Stephen was born September 17, 1973 in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1992. He then attended Iowa Central Community College for two years. Stephen established his home in Fort Dodge. At the time of his death he worked for Mediacom LLC as an installer. Prior to Mediacom he had worked security for Decker Truck Line and Trinity Regional Medical Center.
