Anne Miller, 72, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died on Friday, April 26, 2013, at her home in Maquoketa, Iowa. A private graveside service and burial celebrating Anne's life will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013, from the Hickory Grove Cemetery, rural Monmouth, Iowa. There is no public visitation. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family. Elizabeth Anne Clark was born on November 10, 1940 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Orpheus and Elizabeth Jane (Dague) Clark. She attended Maquoketa schools. She married Theodore "Ted" Miller on February 22, 1957 in Maquoketa, Iowa. Anne was a homemaker and over the years had worked in housekeeping department and at the front reception desk for the Key Motel and the Super 8 Motel, both in Maquoketa. Anne enjoyed reading, going to flea markets, watching movies, fishing and nature. Listening to music was another hobby she enjoyed, with two of her favorites being Ray Charles and Paul Williams. She especially enjoyed spending time and being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Orpheus, Jr., Elmer, Bert and Roger, and 2 sisters, Lillian and Rosemary.
